Description
Red Bull sponsored the 2011 championship Formula One race car and wanted an iPhone/Android game that would be the best in its class too.
As the product manager, I was tasked with overseeing the development of the game, ensuring it lived up to Red Bull’s high standards. The result was Red Bull Augmented Racing Reloaded – a polished and powerful racing game that offered excellent visuals and top-level game design. Our goal was to create an immersive experience that would capture the excitement of Formula One racing and provide players with a thrilling gameplay experience.
The game featured a range of exciting components:

Race Modes: Players could engage in various race modes, including the Time Trial, where they aimed to set the best time on a selected track, and the Single Race, where they competed against AI drivers to claim victory.

Multiplayer Challenges: Players had the opportunity to challenge their friends, adding a competitive element to the game and allowing them to prove their driving skills against real opponents.

Augmented Reality Course Creator: One of the standout features of the game was the Augmented Reality course creator, which enabled players to build their own tracks and race them. They could also share their creations with friends on Facebook, fostering a sense of creativity and community.

Red Bull RB7: Players had the chance to experience the thrill of racing in the cockpit of the Red Bull 2011 World Champion car, the RB7. The car’s performance was finely tuned to provide a realistic and exhilarating racing experience.

High-Quality Environments: The game boasted cinematic race-course environments that showcased attention to detail and provided a visually stunning backdrop for the races.

Intuitive Controls: Tilt-steering, multitouch acceleration, and braking were implemented to offer players precise control over their vehicles, enhancing the gameplay experience.

Red Bull Augmented Racing Reloaded aimed to be the definitive racing game in its class, offering players an immersive and thrilling experience on both iPhone and Android devices. By combining excellent visuals, top-level game design, and engaging features, we aimed to provide a high-quality gaming experience that would resonate with racing enthusiasts and fans of the Red Bull brand.
